How we work

Why did Ashley create Nested Impacts?

As Ashley was considering her future career path, she felt stuck. She loved research and felt passionate about making connections between topics. She wanted to work with compassionate people who cared about their communities. She wanted the freedom to be creative. She wanted to engage with projects that felt meaningful to her. But she couldn't find a job that allowed her to do all of these things. And one day it just clicked. She was already an expert in implementation science, and had been collaborating with community organizations on designing, implementing, evaluating, and disseminating programs for years as part of her PhD training. She didn't have to stop doing it after graduation — she could expand on her human ecology training and make a real difference in communities. To Ashley, Nested Impacts is the perfect answer.

How we work

Core Principles

We guide organizations through real change by staying grounded in these core principles.

Systems-level thinking

We analyze how your program will impact and is impacted by the world around you to create something meaningful and effective.

Individual and organizational focus

We balance people and processes, recognizing that sustainable change requires both personal growth and structural improvement.

Evidence-based evaluation

We think critically about how to evaluate your program so you have clear proof of progress and areas for growth.

Collaborative partnership

We work with you, not for you. Your expertise and input shapes the design and outcomes of every project.

We explain findings and recommendations in plain language so everyone understands next steps and rationale.

Sustainable outcomes

We design programs and structures built to last, leaving your team equipped to manage growth and adaptation.
